This twin tail short nosed ac was first produced in 1949 as an Assault Transport a/c and carried all types of cargo, vehicles, ammunition, medical supplies etc. as well as paratroopers especially US Marines.The Museum's C-119 was donated in 1977 by The US Naval Air Systems command in Washington D.C. and flown to Pueblo from Davis Monthan AFB AZ.
