The T-Bird was developed as a training ac from the F-80 "Shooting Star" and was put into service in 1948. It was the standard jet trainer for the US and other counties of the world.

Museum's T-33 was donated in 1979 by The US Naval Air System Command at Washington D.C. and was transported to Pueblo by truck from The Military Storage and Disposition Center at Davis Monthan AFB AZ.
